LOL, I will give you all the full scoop throughout this week. Tonight, I am going to head for bed, though. I spent the day trying to get into a clinic to have my knee/leg checked (probably fractured) only to be told, "come back next week, we are full." ugh! I have lots of camping and fishing stories, too, if anyone ever wants to hear any of them...... For some reason, when I go camping with a group now, all the men make sure they sleep with their socks on! LOL

The stories will have to wait one more day, sorry 'bout that. I had my entire day planned out, including a lot of online time... but just now making it on here, lol, and have to get up in 3 1/2 hours. Ever have those days where you get up confident you are going to get done all you have planned, but then, somehow, the day totally turns around in a different direction and it just keeps going that way and you can't make it stop? Today was like that, but not in a bad way. I got up, headed in here to check my emails, my phone rang.... then it rang again, both meant work I hadn't planned on. The second call? A friend telling me he was on his way to visit. I initially semi-grumbled about having to start my day changing some of my plans, but I knew that he wouldn't complain about visiting while I worked if need be. But my whole planned day went out the window when he got here. He and a couple other friends in that circle of my friends had a surprise planned for me. He showed up with a pick-up bed FULL of grocery store culls for my critters! So, up until a little bit ago, my day has been spent trying to find places to put everything, and I still have a little bit to go. But, I'M NOT COMPLAINING! I feel so blessed and loved! So right now I am going to go shuffle a few more things around in the fridge, then catch a couple hours sleep. But I WILL be back a little bit later. ..... My leg ........ knee got knocked out of socket and it may be fractured.... but finally starting to do a little better, still swollen at least double. My adult Boxer (use to belong to a marine and forgets I don't play as hard as he did) caught me off guard last week.... jumped up (high) in the air and kicked off the back of my knee with her hind legs. . . . and they are STRONG! Knee cap still moving around quite a bit. Just gonna take awhile to heal. Good night all. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Attachments:

Almost fell twice today when it gave out, but have managed to get around 3/4 of the day without crutches. Improvement is slow, but steady. Got stalled again today, but for a good reason. Turned out a bunch of that produce was still in great shape! Much of it is still better than what I buy on the mark-down at our store here. So I got up today and started in on the three cases of peppers. Oh, they are beautiful! I am almost out of freezer space (saving the last of it for some the spinach) so I am trying to dehydrate most of the peppers (saving out a few to freeze to later stuff and a few small bags of chopped for cooking). This is the bell peppers I am talking about. Actually, I AM out of freezer space .... drove to my mom's last night and put a bunch of stuff in her's, now hers is almost full, lol. Then there is a case of assorted peppers I am still trying to decide what to do with. I know about a third of them are jalapeno, but not sure at all about the rest, or if they are hot or sweet. After handling them, my mouth is really hot now because I stopped to think a moment and chewed on my thumbnail in thought, so I know some of them in there must be pretty hot. Then there are quite a few potatoes and quite a few onions. Most of this stuff the critters won't eat and I don't want to waste, so I am putting it all up. They are getting most of the other stuff (well, I am doing a good job of eating all the peas raw).
I do have a question, though, if anyone knows the answer...... I now have a BUNCH of bell pepper seeds from an assortment of many colors of the most beautiful bell peppers you ever saw. Can these seeds be saved and planted as they are, or do they have to be fermented like tomatoes do? Just wondering.
Thanks, dsmith, little improvements each day and I have started some of my old therapy exercises on it a little. Want to be able to dance again soon. I have actually managed to teach my younger boxer to go outside with me when I get an arm load of wood and open the door for me when we come back in. It is terrific, funny, and he is so proud of himself each time!
Well, gotta go stir my peppers....... be back here shortly.

The seeds will need to be air dried first....Place on paper towels and place in a sunny spot for a couple of weeks....Then they will be ready to plant.....Start them off in the little peat pots with potting soil....

Thanks! I will do that. I sure wasn't wanting to throw all those nice looking seeds for those great peppers away. But, why is it that everyone always says they have to be started in potting soil. Will a rich garden mix put into peat pots not work and if not, why? I am asking because I have a really rich, loose soil blend that I make and use for my potted roses and stuff. I have had good luck with flower seeds coming up in it.
The next few days are suppose to be great weather for soap pouring. I have been working tonight on lining my new catfish soap mold and getting stuff ready to start my spring pouring. Can't wait to try out that new mold I built! Over these next few gorgeous days, inbetween planting my onions & potatoes and chopping/dehydrating veggies, I aim to get two of my catfish bait soap flavors poured up (since I am pretty much out now) and some of my camping soap. I will post pics when they are ready if you want to see. I'm ready for spring!!
