awwww..... what great and wonderful memories! I really enjoyed reading all these posts! Yes, the TRUE art of quilting is dying. I see too many people trying to "speed quilt" by sewing all these strips together, cutting the strips, then sewing again for fast blocks. Just isn't the same! I have made a couple of small ones, and keep hoping to someday make a big, full-sized one, but have yet to get it done. I want to make one out of cut up old jeans.

Hello, All! My computer (desk top) is still broken. I can use it as just a computer, but I can't use the Internet on it. I talked to them at Staples about it and they are positive it has a virus in it. (I had already figured that much). They quoted me at $150 to $200 or more to fix it.  Needless to say, it will be sitting there, unusable for a very long time. Right now I am my rough looking, dinosaur of a laptop. It is a lot more delicate so I couldn't use it during all that high heat, just now and then to check an important email and even then, it didn't act right. This computer also hadn't been used in over a year so it has gone through some serious updates to get it to running decently at all. In the mean time, I think I have had some hard core Internet withdrawals!  I was just enjoying getting to yak with everyone again when my other one went down. At least I do have a little bit of back-up and for that, I am thankful! But this old laptop is a major pain to try and log on to and to use, so I probably still won't be on here too often for awhile, but at least I can pop in now and then, now. And it looks like I have tons of catching up to do all around the net, but I have missed you all and I will get back on here again as much as I can. Looks like I need to spend some reading time on here, too, to catch up. Hope life has been treating you all well! |

Anna, I use a wireless mouse for my laptop. It really works great for me..I just use the laptop for backup.

Thanks, Dale... love you, too!  MC, somewhere around here I think I have a wireless mouse, but I hadn't used this on so long, and not very much, I had forgotten about it and have no idea where it is. I will have to look for it, now. That really isn't what makes it so hard, though. It is a strange, long, process just to log onto this little computer and I can't do as much with it as I can with my desktop. I am just really thankful that I can get on at all, now, though.  |
