it was nicer than mine, and I knew where his was, couldn't find mine.
One time I asked to go fishing, and Dad said I could but if I got wet and muddy I'd get grounded. Not sure why he said that because I never got wet or muddy when I was a kid. Anyhow I stayed on top of the bridge and fished so I wouldn't have any chance of getting wet. Then the front section of Dad's fishing rod came off and slid down the line into the water 40 feet below me. I figured I'd better reel it in, but then I got snagged, and it wouldn't un snag. I had no choice except to wade out into the creek and get Dad's rodd tip. Trust me, coming home wet was far less problem than coming home without Dad's fishing rod.

When I was at Ft Sill in 1966 they said, the only between Ok and Canada was a three strand barb wire fence with the top two strands broken. We stood guard mont in 70 degree weather at 2 PM when we were on duyy 7 hours latter it was 5 below. The only thing between Texas and Canada is Oklahomia.

The weather in Ohio has been so close to perfect, I'm just Giddy, there is an inch of snow and ice, and it's been in the mid twenties to low thirties for 4 days now. There are just too many things to do and not enough good weather. It will heat up and probably rain on Monday for opening day of deer season. suppposed to be up to 44 I sure hope the warming trend doesn't last. Dave
