Worked in yard today.Trying to clean up all the leaves and such that have blown under things. We have a 10x20 porch/deck. I was really nervous cleaning under it because of snakes. Well, a couple of months ago, we were watching my son's cat and it disappeared. We called and hunted, but never found it. You guessed it. I found it's skelton under the porch. Yuck. Now we spend a whole lot of time on it. Why did we never smell that cat??? We are thinking a snake probably bit it. Then I cleaned underneath the camper. That is where I found it . You know, the snake I was looking for The grandkids were home by then. I held it down with the shovel and was griping at them to get up on the porch as they wanted to see. It was just a baby , so I couldn't tell if it was a rattler or a bullsnake. Dennis tells me not to kill the bullsnakes. But I was alone with the grandkids, so I killed it. And yeap, it was a bullsnake. Sorry. So yeah, it was an interesting day in the yard today.

Otis and I started to mow the yard today for the first time this year. No one has lived here in about 6 years . There is a lot of blow down limbs and such that we have to clean up. Course he wants to play and get under my feet. We are really enjoying the peace and quiet here. Have a squirrel in the loft in the garage. Am going to make a squirrel feeder to place in one of the trees in the yard. We have a White Oak tree that is about 6 feet in diameter and is over 200 years old in the yard about 12 feet from the house.
