We are getting ready for some really nasty weather. Ice tonight, high of 23 tomorrow , 21 on Wednesday. I am really scared about driving on it. Can't decide if it'd be better to take the car or the pickup. Someone told me to put bleach on the tires. Said it makes them sticky, but doesn't harm them. I was also told to keep some rock salt in the car, and if I get stuck on ice, to pour it under the tires to melt the ice. Went to 2 different stores, NO rock salt. Both stores were Packed with people. I guess everyone is preparing for the bad weather. I so wish I didn't have to drive on it. but have no choice. Have to go to work. I am already a nervous wreck.

They are now saying it may be the worse ice we have seen in years. That is really scary as we have had ice over the years.

They are saying that this storm will rank as the 5th worse winter storm since the 1850s when they started tracking them.. Dale there is no truth to the bleach helping with traction. In fact the bleach will leave a slippier surface ...Table salt works very well also in place of rock salt...Just keep a cool mindset as you drive....
