I finally took a few pics of my high tech pole holders. First, yas go take down yer neighbors satellite dish, then remove the holder bracket and turn it upside down an screw it to a 2X4. Then ya screw a cross brace onto the other end on the bottom. and there ya go. Supplement it with a counter balance consisting of a rock or sumsuch. Set yer clicker/bell, pour a cuppa joe an sit back. Pics are clickable Sumtimes if I get ta park close enuff to the water, I just wedge the end under a tire. I got 5 of these made up as I only had five neighbors. ;D

Those are cool.....Me I just use a gallon jug full of sand and stick a forked branch in it. That is if there is hard ground.....A hillbilly has to do what a hillbilly needs to do....They can survive! Neighbors around here may start missing some..

I took some 3/8 inch steel bars 3ft long and bent a 9 inch end at a 45 degree angle, then used hose clamps to fasten a 2 inch diameter by 9 inch long piece of pvc pipe to it and that's what I use. I did sharpen the long end so that it goes into the ground pretty easy.

A friend of mine on another site has probally the best rod holders that I have seen. Comes in all different shapes and sizes and hair color. Course they have to be fed from time to time! ;D
