Maybe this belongs in the hot topics thread, but what does everyione think of CCW? Does your state allow CCW, and do you carry legally?
I have my permit as much to make a statement as anything else, but I also go prepared to pretect myself whenever and wherever I feel a need exists.

I live in IL. and we have the dumbest gun laws in the country only the criminals can carry guns when I drove I carried all the time now in order to take a gun anywhere I have to have the weapon in one part of the car and the ammo in another.

I live in Ohio, It took us years of fighting to get a decent CCW law, as of right now 45 States have some sort of concealed carry permit Law and of those most are reasonable to obtain a permit in. Many States have reciprocity agreements with other States so I can carry in quite a few States with my Ohio Permit. Illinois of course is one of the 5 that don't allow, and I do not envy you guys one bit.

South Dakota has recipocity for concealed weapons with 23 other states. My permit is honored in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona , colorado, Flordia, Georgia, Idaho, Indinana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utha, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
