I read that planting lavandar and mint will deter fleas. We fight fleas every year. Don't really know much about lavandar. Does anyone know anything about it?

I grow Mint, and my Wife hasn't had fleas for years I thought Lavendar was a shrub like Lilac, My neighbor has a Lavendar Shrub, and I don't think they have fleas Either. I really don't know except that if you plant mint plant it in a controllable place, the stuff is brutally invasive. I reccomend a large patio pot. Dave

What you did not know about lavender you will know now! It is a erb and a bush and comes in many colors! This is a very detailed look at all the kinds of lavender! As for fleas I really don't know why they hate this plant. Maybe fleas hate pretty flower smells! www.mountainvalleygrowers.com/lavendercareandtips.htm

Thank ya'll very much. I was told about the mint spreading like wildfire. I think I will plant both. It would be so awesome to finally combat the fleas. And if it doesn't work, hey, I got some pretty plants. The mint is also suppose to help keep the mice away if you plant it around the house. We will see.
