Went to a pond that a Freind of mine owns down here near Louisville tonight, Must have caught 50+ bass. Most of them were about the size of a good chunck of bait, but I did catch a dozen or so that topped the 2 pound mark and one behemoth that measured 21" and weighed in just under 5 pounds. I was using a Rapala original floating minnow, 4" Black with a silver belly. I generally fish Rapala's on the surface, and twitch and jerk them to entice topwater hits. As Dusk approached, the bass quit going after it, but the crappie started. I baoted 6 over 14" and probably caught 20 nice crappie altogether. Add a Bluegill or two into the mix and I had a pretty good night.

It is raining here now. I went to the Louisville show with the bobber about 5 or six times. There is alot of good fishing downthere. One of my bobber testers is in Kentucky today for two weeks testing the bobber and some of our new ceramic jigs and also our mustad ceramic rigs. I will post his results when he gets back! good fishing dave. A 21 inch bass is a real nice fish! My biggest bass was 22 inches 53 years ago! I like fishing for bass. They will start hitting here in about another two weeks!
