I had great results with my Acer, and cannot even tell you what my current Desktop is, I seldom use it. We use Toshiba Laptops for work, and they are second to none for dependability and toughness. I don't even know if Toshiba makes a desktop.

If you just need a processor just buy the processor and use your old monitor till it dies you can get a processor for about $350.00 at best buy

Actually, I have bought a really nice large flatscreen monitor about 1 year ago. I love it. So we have been looking at just the towers. Some of the places are a package deal though. But the gateway we are thinking about is just for the tower.

We have a Dell and really like it.My son and Mick has added some goodies to it, more Ram, can download and burn both music and movies..Not to mention the different firewalls and things which I am dumb about.
