; :-Xok, since Bass are included in the fall tourney, give us your expertise on bass fishing. I know minnows are good bait. Do you plug, worm, jig, or what? What works for you? Sometimes I get confused on the different lures and how to work them. Some you reel steady. Some you jerk. Some you reel fast, some slow. I know the bigger the spoon, the deeper it dives. Never know when to use a diver or a top water.

Thats one of the many reasons I like catfishing. 3 or 4 baits, good all the time. Less confusion. ;D

Bass fishing is best done with the BWAB with two baits one below the slip sinker with 15 inches or more line on a hook! The other bait a foot above the sinker. I use woms usually crawlers. you will out fish anyone all year long for bass this way. I have caught in the past over 600 bass a year at one lake alone! reel the bobber in 10 feet let set 20 sec and contine the same technicue the whole way to shore. They will hit usually every cast from may to august and also later but not as much!

Don't ya pick the color according to how sunny the day is? Or do you use the same color all the time. When we worm, we do it like you do.

Most of us ameteurs just stick to one or two colors we know will work 95% of the time. I like rubber worms, red with white tails, or grape and Black and silver Rapala minnows (original floaters) I do well enough with those two baits most of the time. Figure out what the primary forage in your lake is. If it's shad use Shad imitators, if it's crawdads. use crawdad imitators, if tthe lake has both in high quantities, it gets easier.

Frog baits are real effective around lily pads. Purple worms are probally the most popular color followed by black and can be fished many different ways...Myself, I do not Bass fish anymore....

When I use to do a lot of bassing, always had a cat pole in too, I found my best bait to be either white or black swirl tail jigs. I've even caught a few channels on them, the best being 8lbs. I rarely do bassing anymore due to having carpel tunnel and hurts to keep throwing casts all day. I used to catch up to 20 to 30 bass a day, all different sizes. My best one was 10.7 lbs, and that's when I quit, I put it back and figured I might catch it again, but then the guy that owned the ponds boy drained the pond into the creek so he could make it bigger and let one of his friends have all the big fish.
