I remebered when I was young, mom did a sweet potato in water with toothpicks to make a plant. So I thought I'd try. So I suspended it in a glass of water with toothpicks. The thing is growing like crazy. It does take a lot of water, I'm adding water all the time. Should I just leave it as is, or should I plant it in dirt for an indoor plant? If it keeps growing like it is, it'll take over the house.

Put it in dirt and bring it in before the frost. You casn cut the leaves back when you bring it in and it will re grow. I had a grond hog eat mine and almost all thge leaves off 2 months ago. it cam back even better and is hudge. Its a redish brown and my other that is not as strong is all light green. You can plant parts of the stem of the main plant in the sprinf and have a 100. They are also good to eat later after a whole summer! They vine all over and are pretty mixed with flowers in a nice size container like a 5 gallon bucket!
