As was brought up on Daveedka's post, I've read a lot about using range cubes. Have always wanted to give it a try. Usually when we are out running around, it's in the evening, and the feed stores are closed. One of these days, I do want to try them though.

When you freeze it put a plastic wire closer in the cube & make a circle out of it with a end sticking uut of the cube. Its easy and you never have to touch the smelly cube! Just tie a line to the wire!

Thanks for the info. I have never seen these cubes. So I didn't realize they smell bad. I wonder why the cows eat them if they are so nasty. I'm glad you told me so I know what to expect.

I am talking aout ice cubes frozen with a bait mix like in the blender! There are all kinds of theings. Freezing bait n a plastic freezer bag is the cleanest way!

Rabbit food (pellets) works very well also. Just place a cup full inside of a piece of burlap sacking with a small stone attach a line and toss out. Use the attached line to pull it back in. A can of dog food works very well. Remove the label, tie a small cord or line securely to the can, punch several holes in the can with a large screwdriver and place the cans where you whant to chum....Hint::: Tie the dog food can under water near under water brush piles or submerged trees / logjams .

Ya remove the label because cats will not eat dog food if they know what it is!
