I'm here!! Just donn't see me all the time! Having problems with this computer and the service....It is slower than Dialup to post anything....Also trying to get adjusted to some new medications that I'm taking....Waiting for this weather to change back to 85 plus degrees . I'll try to get on here more instead of sleeping..

I think mc was just gone a couple days. I am sure he has a lot of other things to do besides here. This is a fun place to be, but people have other things going on. I hope you are adjusting to your meds ok. Don't worry about us if you are gone a few days. Do what you need to do in your life. Enjoy you being here and hearing from you, but take care of personal things formost.

THANKS, Just can not work if I take the relaxers and pain pills less than 8 hours before work....Worse if I have to work on Saturday mornings after I get off at 11:30 Friday night..My boss is trying to force me into retiring so he can hire a younger supervisor. There's a couple there that want the job but do not have the knowledge to the different jobs that I do..

That has to be frustrating for you. I think back in the "old" days when people could retire at a decent age. We were at McDonalds the other day. I commented to Dennis that there were a couple of senior citzens working. I think it is so sad to see so many people working everywhere that should be retired and enjoying life. I know some work just to have something to do. But many of them have to work. It is sad to have to work hard your entire life. I HOPE that Dennis' retirement and my 401k will take care of us in later years so we can retire. But you never know. Dennis cannot draw social security since he is a teacher. He put 20 plus years into social security, but will loose it.

They call it double dipping and is not permitted anymore..We lost most everything that I had worked hard to put aside ...Now I'll just have the Social Security to fall back on...On adverage those at work lost 300k from their retirement fund when the market fell last year...Some a little more and some less....

He isn't as old as what we are and I would guess that he is in a private retirement plan.....For the time that I was in the state retirement system I did not have to pay into Social Security....

Teachers don't pay into social security. It's been over 10 years since he put into social security. So his past work where he did put in, is history.

It is the same way up here.. Teachers, Police,Firemen , County or city employees and SchoolBus drivers do not pay into it either if they were hired before 1984..After that the ones hired pay into both...
