I saw 4 wild turkeys close to the road, on my way home the other evening. They sure looked plump and ripe, holding their heads up high as they watched the cars go by. I was thinking about getting a couple of baby turkeys this year, hadn't had any in a long time. But my gosh, the price! They want 6.99 each for the hatchlings! I got a cleaned, ready to cook turkey last fall for not much more than that. Anyone know if I get a pair, if they raise up more turkeys very easily?

They are just like chickens as far as the chicks....The hens do not lay eggs year round like chickens..They breed in the spring and fall normally in the wild....Here is a good starting link : www.howtoraiseturkeys.com
