Just put roundup on the drive area, patio, etc. I'd like to put some along the fence (where there aren't any plants), but it gets pricey. Is there a good homemade type weed kill I can make? I've heard salt water is good. If I can kill it along the fence, it sure would cut back on my weed eating.

Use an old sprayer(not one used for the garden or flower beds) Mix 30z of the concentrated roundup to one gallon of diesel fuel and one qt of light weight oil...Always buy the concentrated roundup as it is much cheaper than the premixed...The oil does not need to be used but it does help....Spray in the morning after the dew is gone and when there is no chance of rain for at least 48 hours.
