Grandkids coming this weekend. Probably will be in the pool most of the time.. I have run out of ideas for a quick meal that I can come in and fix for supper. Have done hot dogs, pizza, grilled cheese. Usually I cook a big meal for them, and they think that granni is the best cook. But during the summer, I want to be outside playing with them. Any ideas for something quick and easy? Oh, and they don't care for corn dogs.

Heres one I do at work bout once inna blue moon. I usually wind up fixing one for all the employees in the building. Pizza Slider BurgersMakes 4 (2-burger) servings. Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 12 minutes 1 pound ground beef 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Basil Leaves 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Garlic Powder 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Oregano Leaves 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Black Pepper, Ground 1/3 cup pizza sauce or tomato sauce 1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese 8 small dinner rolls Pepperoni slices (optional) 1. Mix ground beef and seasonings in medium bowl until well blended. Shape into 8 patties. 2. Grill over medium heat or cook in nonstick skillet 4 to 6 minutes per side or until burgers are cooked through (internal temperature of 160°F). 3. Top each burger evenly with sauce and cheese. Cook 1 minute longer or until cheese is melted. Serve burgers on rolls with pepperoni slices, if desired. per serving Calories: 395 Fat: 19 g Carbohydrates: 28 g Cholesterol: 81 mg Sodium: 778 mg Fiber: 1 g Protein: 28 g www.mccormick.com/Recipes/Main-Dish/Pizza-Slider-Burgers.aspx?cmpid=email_FF20090225_Vol2The time seems alil long. Seems like I can make em in under ten minutes at work. Mite be the commercial grill, I dunno? I usually omit the salt and use regular hamburger buns. Sometimes I use shredded Cheddar in place of Mozzarella or mix it up. I have several under ten minute things I make. I'll warn ya tho, I don't measure very often. And I dont like corndogs either.

Another one I do at work, I call a "Sloppy Bob". Cuz my name an't Joe. And this is for one person, so do what ya want. And this is on a grill. I spect a skillet would work.
Take a hamburger. Cooked already or raw, either works fine. Chop it up or cook like ground burger. and toss a hand full of onions on and let em cook. After they cooked a bit, add a hand full of chopped maters and mix em in with the onions an let them cook a bit. when they start gettin mushy, mix in with the cooked burger and smother in ketchup and I add some of our hot sauce which isn't very hot. It just adds flavor. Let that cook in a couple minutes an its done. Just scoop it over a bun an there ya go. Done in under ten minutes.
