As ya'll all very well know, we have seen huge amounts of snakes in the past. We just didn't see near as many this year. I wonder if the lake level has something to do with it. When the lake was really low, there was so much less brush in the water. With it so, full, there is tons of brush in the water as the lake is up over the banks. It has gone down some, and now we are seeing a few more snakes again. Of course that is gonna change today and tomorrow, as we are due for tons of rain from Hermain. But I wonder why we see so many less this year, and that might make sense.

I would think with less water there would be more water snakes than when full. They breathe air and do not have gills. Good question though.
