I was given 2 packages of Elk today. I'm excited to try it as I have never had Elk before. My mother in law said that she chicken fried hers, so I think it must be steaks. Any hints on how to cook it? How does it taste? Should I soak it in milk or lemon juice or italian dressing or anything? HELP

We had elk from a hunt . Mom soaked it in milk before she chicken fried it..Also had fixed a roast with patatoes,carrots and onion which was also tasty.
