Well, opening it up and putting it in the pan is a start, some wouldn't even do that, LOL.

I taught both my sons how to cook (good thing, the oldest one's wife can't/won't cook, she prefers Carl's Jr. or Taco Bell). My younger son and his fiancee split the work in the kitchen, every day. Most times he starts dinner cause he's home first. They're a riot to watch in the kitchen together, each peering over the other's shoulde to make sure they're doing it right, ROFL. My dad makes breakfast since he and mom retired. She makes lunch and they do the dinner cooking together. Me? I do all my own cooking, LOL.

I took some friends out to the new local Barbecue place tonight. Well, they drove, I paid. They are back here from NC and I hadnt seen em inna long time. So I had A half slab and baked beans and horse radish slaw and fries, which I brought the fries home. Eric said the ribs here have bout twice the meat on em as they do back home. He was impressed. The horse radish slaw is perty good stuff. Has a lil wang to it.

Love horseradish slaw. We gotta a place here, Todd's Bar-B-Que, makes REALLY good ribs and garlic fries. Their bar-b-que chicken and sliced brisket (with bar-b-que sauce on it) is so tender you can cut it with your fork. Their chili isn't bad either, but a bit too spicy for me most days.
Fixing a tri-tip for New Year's Eve dinner tonight, with potatoes and peas and a salad. The leftovers will last me for the weekend, LOL. I can have tri-tip sandwiches and tri-tip and gravy over rice.

I had bait (Chicken Liver) with mushrooms and onions, and some leftover steamed Cauliflower and Zuchini from yesterday. I do most of the cooking around here, my wife is capable, but her work schedule is really tough right now, so I try to make shure she has a decent meal whenever I can.
