I've heard a vitamin c a day helps your immunity? Has anyone heard that? Since my back surgery 3 years ago, my immunity seems to be really bad. I catch everything!!!!!!!!!! There is a bad cough going around right now and everyone around me seems to have it. Dave had suggested some vitamins to me before. Any hints on what to take to avoid getting sick?

ake daily supplements of a good quality vitamin, be cautious as many vitamins are not ready digestableand essentially don't get used by the body. "Most" Vitamin C is however pretty easily used by the body. Whenever it's cold season, or my wife or I have any extra reason to worry about coming down with something, we take an extra 2000-3000 mg of Vitamin C each day. this does wonders. I'd reccomend about 500-1000 as a general daily supplement, and then ramp it up when there is an issue of some sort. You cannot overdose on Vitmin C as the body simply gets rid of the extra, additionally vitamin C binds itself to nasties in your Body so that it transports those nasties out with it. it really is a great vitamin without worry of side effects or problem. I have been taking 2000gms of vitamin c for over thirty yrs now and it has helped me out with lower back pain, arthritus, and muscle cramps. It's the only vitamin that I take and will till I die, except right now I am out and no money, so the old hands are starting to get stiff and sore but will be back on it pretty quick.

That's interesting Papa. I have a lot of "arthur" aches and pains. I'll have to see if it helps that too. Certainly hope so.
