We have a huge, thick oak tree. The grackles congergate in it. You don't dare walk underneath it if ya know what I mean. And there are so many, they are LOUD. It is a mess underneath it. Our other trees don't seem to have as many in them. Maybe because the oak is so dense. Any ideas on how to get rid of them? I've heard pie pans, plastic owls, rubber snakes. None of which works.

They used to put some kinda recording of crows "in distress" up in the eucalyptus trees outside where I worked. We had a real problem with them, the whole valley has a problem with crows anymore, they don't migrate like they useta. Not only did ya hafta worry bout walking under the trees, but the danged things dive-bomb attacked ya as ya walked across the parking lot. The recording would work for awhile, then when it stopped, the guys would go out and shoot a bunch with shotguns. When they came back after that, the recording got put back up there. Endless cycle.

Thought you'd like that Dave. Our mall has the bird sounds on speaker. First time we heard it, we wondered what was going on as we didn't see birds. Then finally figured it out.
