Whoo hoo Mesquite trees are out, winter is over!!!!!!!!!!! For you northeners, that is how us southerners judge when the freezes are over. When the adult mesquite trees come out, it's done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Picked up two boxes of flower seed for shady beds. Will plant them in the beds in front of the front porch. It is "a balanced blend of annual and perennial wildflowers that thrive in areas that receive only 1 to 4 hours of sunlight each day. For the East and South side ( back porch ) I have a box of what is called " a butterfly mixture " which also attracts hummingbirds. So far this Spring there is two pair of nesting cardinals and a pair of blue birds in the trees in the yard. Yesterday there was a racket at the back porch and upon looking there was a doe with her head in the bucket which I keep ear corn for the fox squirrel.

That is so cool to have wildlife around like that. All we get is bunny rabbits. I planted onions, squash, and green beans. We also planted 2 peach trees and a fig bush. All of which has little fruit on them already.

LOL I never even said anything about the bunnies. Haven't had a fresh fig since I moved up here. Stores do not carry them..Too cold to put the garden out yet...May not be here to put one out....Might just be eating out of yours and Lymi's.
