There are numerous different ways to track someone. Really not that hard to do but does take some time....Almost as easy as to track someone to "see" what sites they visit on the internet...In cop world there is a truth ism about someone hiding from the law. That person will get homesick and will go back home to visit or make contact with family or friends within a couple of months. Use to be that a letter will be postmarked from the place they are at or the next town over. The letter gets opened and read then thrown in the trash. The trash gets picked up and gone through. (No search warrant is needed) The hiding place is found. It is human nature and a very rare person which can break all contact with family and friends..Same with trying to change their name to hide..999 out of 1000 will keep their initials with their new name. ( Tim Harry Johns will become Tom Henry Jones ).
