One enjoyable story that can now be told is that I did have fun with a green frog (thanks mc). I did catch 3 bass on it, but that was not all. I was casting in the shallow part of the pond when a snake came up and hit it. It followed it to the shore. It would turn back to the water and I would throw it again. It followed the lure at least 8 times up on shore. I finally got tired and walked away. It seems that when the bass stopped bitting, they got lock jaw. I don't even think a stick of tnt would have brought them up again. Thanks mc again for the fun.

I am glad that you are enjoying the the things.. The green frog is very good to use around lily pads and weedy water...I knew that you would put that stuff to good use after it has been in storage all these years since I gave up Bass fishing. Might be best to NOT let Dale use the frogs to fish for her snakes..

Oh by the way Mc, I used one of the worms that was Carolina rigged. It was weedless. I loved it. I'd pull it through all of that moss, and it'd come back clean as a whistle. Everytime we pull our lines in, they are covered in moss. Pulling a fish in is a real "drag". But these weedless worms did great. I was surprised. Didn't catch anything on them though. I always get confused on how to use bass lures and such. One you rell in fast, one slow, one stop and go, etc. Never know how to use each one. I do know how to worm if I am just dropping it in.

That is something which is hard to describe without being there to show the methods...Most is by instinct and OJT...Mostly it is to use each type in a life like action..In real time a frog seldom swims more than maybe 4 or 5 feet before resting or climbing on a pad or limb. Really hard to explain without actually showing you how each is done..Most everyone develops their own style of using each one. ;D LOL Guess that I'll may have to go ahead and retire from working, move down there and start an instructional fishing school. Course it has been about 18 to 20 years since I retired from bassing. Does the Doghouse come equipped with maid service among other amenities ? ;D

We were at Walmart tonight. Dennis was looking through the fishing lures. I went on to do my shopping. He caught up to me and said he found something for me. Had a frog fishing lure. I asked him, "what, you WANT the snakes chasing me?" He laughed and threw it in the shopping basket.

He knows what side of the bread that the butter is on... I probally caught more bass on the frogs and worms than the lures and plugs..

Hilly, I took your advise and brought along out 22 rifle. I think the snakes knew that we had a weapon, because only 2 showed up. Need I say that they did not swim away.
