I just give up. Snakes just like me or something. We went fishing today. We were sitting on some big boulder type rocks. I was sitting in a chair on one of the rocks, and I looked down, and there is a little ole' snake among the rocks. We messed with him some, but he wouldn't leave. Just went under them when we poked at him, only to resurface again. Stayed in that same spot the whole time I fished there, which was round about an hour. Look closely and you can see him.
So, we aren't catching much, so decide to move on down the shore. We moved a good ways off. It was rocky, but just smaller rocks that you can drive on, no bit boulder type rocks. So I throw out my lines, and look up, and there is ANOTHER snake watching me. I fished that spot for a couple hours. I would look up, and there he'd be. Always in the same spot. Sometimes, I'd see him, sometimes not. But he stayed there just watching me. :DI threw him some chicken liver thinking he'd take it and go. nope. We were catching a lot of "bait stealers". I'd catch a little bitty cat and throw it his direction, thinking he'd take THAT and go. Nope. For a couple hours, he just watched me.
This is him.
There was also a lot of carp swimming around. Then this scrawny bird comes along trying to catch him some fish. He got pretty close to me. At one point, I'm sitting there, watching the snake, the bird trying to catch fish, and the carp swim around. Meanwhile, I am getting a hit on my line. It was kinda interesting to have so much nature all around me. I enjoyed it, except for the 100 degree temp and the snake. But to his credit, he left me alone.
