That is so cool. We just came from Ruidosa, NM, and we thought we was strange that there were deer hanging around in people's yards. We have lots and lots of rabbits. Deer would be neat.

When we move in here our children were all small. There was a lot of young fawns in the yard that same year. So the deer have grew up here with our kids. So there's nothing here that scares them away. Our dogs don't faze them either. I've saw the dogs get on the heels of the deers barking at them. The deers just kick at them and keep on eating. They even eat at our front porch in the fall when the acorns or on the ground, drink out of our swimming pool every summer.
I wouldn't live any place else on earth. I have two lakes within 45 minutes of me. Two rivers Little Missouri and Ouachita River on the East and South sides of me. Any wild life you want including bears around me.
That's why I call this deer country

It is believe me. When we move here I made rules of no hunting on our hill. I love watching the deers and other wild life. Besides my bunch have 90 acres to hunt on without hunting on our hill.
It's like heaven on earth. Our closes neighbor is half a mile away. But that's the way we like it.
