These are some of the flowers in my flower bed. They don't look as perky now because the hot weather is doing a number on them. They are still blooming like crazy, just not as perky looking. Attachments:

I'm telling you, we are two of a kind. Petunias are one of my favorite flowers to grow. I've posted some pics of some of mine somewhere on here. Have always loved them. I hung about 15 hanging plants on my front porch this year. But with this terrible heat, they are dying on me. I had petunias, begonias, impatients. My husband is a school teacher, so he is off work right now. He waters them every morning for me as he knows I hate seeing them die. But I am still loosing them slowly. I have always had beautiful petunias until this year.

The little kiddy pool I had Missouri in in the other post, I have water in it now with my flowers in it. They only have the bottom part of the pots under water. But they are still growing and blooming. Plus the dogs have more drinking water. We are having to had water to it daily. but we were having to double water before any way.
I love all types of ferns, wild and houseplants, angel wing begonias, snap dragons (first year I've had them) (But they are kind of cool looking, you have to keep them dead headed like the petunias to keep them blooming), elephant ears the bigger the better. and my cocoa petunias my favorite. I have 8 different pots of them.

Most everything I planted drowned out because of all the rain we have had here....

I just came in from the flowers, been out picking some seeds from them for next year. I had so many seeds this year I gave a bunch to our daughter, and will have even more seeds next year. Probably have a gallon sack full of them for next year. I worked in a greenhouse when I was young, but have no idea what kind of flowers we have, I just harvest the seeds and plant them in the spring and take care of them for her. I would rather have something growing to eat, not just to look at.

I have gathered seeds this year too. I plant back what doesn't come up on their own. Most of the time it's not cold enough here to hurt the seeds that have fell on the ground. They come up in the spring just like I have sowed them. So the seeds I gather are save for the next years.
