We have our bobber, followed by the sinker, with the hook on bottom. I've seen all different rigs. What is you favorite way to rig up? I know some people prefer the sinker on the bottom When using the bwab we rig differently. We go by the instructions for that rig.

I rig the sinker on the bottom than a snap swivel about a foot up and another about a foot from the first I also put a snap swivel under the sinker so I can put hooks where the bite is high or low

I like that idea. May have to try that. One time I used a crappie rig and tried something similar to that But I baited all hooks, and it kept tangling up. Didn't think about just baiting one at a time. Ya think a crappie rig would work for what you are suggesting?

When fishing in our little river, I use one with a carolina rig and the other one I put my sliding sinker on first then put three snap swivels, one on the end of my line, another a foot up and another up another foot and snap a small bobber in the bottom one then the other two I put 9 inch leaders and hooks. That way when I cast it out the sinker sits on the bottom and the float can hold one on the bottom and one a foot above or you can adjust it as high or low as you would like. All you have to do is put a piece of tape or a mark on your pole where you can llet it come up a foot at a time and just make a mental note at what depth they are biting.

Didn't think about just baiting one at a time. Ya think a crappie rig would work for what you are suggesting? Crappie rigs tend to tangle around the wire. They tangle if the line hooked to them is longer than 3 inches. So use a 3 inch gutted hook and your set! The give a hook with the rig but it s to long so shorten it and it will work great. I like the double crappie rigs! We sale a similar rig but ours is hand tied all in one piece and has a mustad hook connector connected to the 3 inch off shoot! We tie ours with 15 pound test with a 1/2 ounce ceramic sinker attasched or a steel 3/8 ounce slip sinker. we use slip sinkers so you can add a hook below the sinker also! This rig can be used for all types of fish. They also make a crappie rig with a plastic tube sleeve over the metal that meets the line. Weldon tackle from Clveland area Ohio sells them! Check our hand tied rigs out on our web site there are pictures! good luck!

I use the slip sinker rig on one rod for the bottom. The second rod is setup with a slip knot ,bead, either a 18in or a 24in straw, a 8,10 or 12in slip bobber, a 1/4 or 3/8 bullet sinker, another bead and snap swivel and then a 12 to 18 inch leader with a 5/0 to 8/0 circle hook. What is a straw you ask? Wellllll I will have to get a pic up on here for those of you that don't know.....

Here is my Drift fishing rig This is my basic Carolina rig for Bottom fishing I will also add a cork like the one on the drift rig on some of them to hold the bait up off the bottom especially when fishing a weeded or rocky bottom I can't find the pic's but I also like to use a large float for live bait and this is how I like to rig my bait

Here are the three main ways that we rig for cats This first is using a straw with a 12 in weighted bobber. This way is with a 2oz no roll sinker for tight lining and this one is is with a 2oz bank sinker with two hooks when baiting the hooks with cut bait I do it the same way as what Doug does as he taught me that way! With the straw setup I most always use live bait from 4 to 8 inches long.Sometimes I will use live bait to about 10 inches . I use the BWAB to catch a lot of my live bait with.
