I'm watching the view. They have gingerbread men right now. I hate gingerbread men. But I love gingerbread cake. My mother made an awesome one with whipped cream on top. Nobody in my family likes gingerbread. But ya know what? I think I'm gonna make a gingerbread cake. Sometimes ya just gotta make things you like. MMMMM can't wait.

I'm mad. Went to 3 different stores to buy a gingerbread mix. Nadda!!!! Gonna have to make it from scratch.

Yeah. I used to never by cake mixes, pancakes mixes or anything. Made everything from scratch. But working in a bakery, it just doesn't seem so special anymore. I still do a lot of scratch cooking though. Haven't ever bought a pie crust, always make my own. I'm just more proud of it if it is my own. I make an awesome pizza. Make my own crust and all. My ex son in law refused to buy a pizza. Said once you've had mine, the others arent the same. I also make an awesome cheesecake that everyone begs for. Actually, I make several different kinds of cheesecake. I have had people actually beg me to go into business with my cheesecakes. One person said they would even back me financially. But like I say, I work in a bakery, and I know all the downfalls of having a baking business.
