Years ago I watched several. I finally broke the habit. The past year, I got wrapped back up in General Hospital. Maybe I shouldn't have put this here. Men do watch them too. Dennis is mildly interested in General.

I was hooked on them once a LONG TIME ago. .... General Hospital .... All My Children ..... One Life To Live But I got tired of the same old story lines over and over and over. So I quit watching them..... didn't watch them for years. One day I thought I would watch one just for fun. It had been several years, now, remember...... It gave me a GREAT laugh to see that it was right about where I had left off! So, needlessly to say, I have not watched one again. Actually, I haven't watched TV in almost a year. It was becoming such a distraction that I seized the opportunity of the "switch over" to take a long break from it. Never have hooked that goofy little box up, yet. Just enjoy a once in a great while video. Works for me!

I purposefully avoid them when I'm home, simply because I know they are addictive. My Grandmother used to watcfh them, and scold all the characters for being low lifes. We'd go visit for a week and then when we'd go home, we'd end up watching soaps the rest of the summer. no need for those sorts of addictions any more. I watch some sports, fishing shows and bull riding, and a few weeknight shows. I can go all week and never turn on the TV and be perfectly happy. Dave

Does anybody remember Dark Shadows? ?? Dennis and I loved that. of course we didn't know each other back then, but we talk about it. For awhile they showed it on the sci fi channel, but quite. So every year for Christmas, my son buys us the next set. The original old series!!!!!!!!!!! He has us up to set 4 right now. Each set has many of the shows. But with it showing every week day, it'd cost a fortune to have the whole series. But hopefully we will eventually , one year at a time.
