I usually use roundup, but got an off-brand and it is taking it a week to work. I would like a good homemade recipe as it does get expensive when you have a lot of yard.

I do substitute a qt of used motor oil or diesel fuel for a qt of water though. I do not buy the premixed stuff as in the long run it is more expensive.
