Well, I have to brag on the great deal we got. We finally decided to get a tiller. Looked around at home depo, lowes, etc. He wanted a rear tine. He was sure eyeballing the really big nice ones. But a bit pricey. The biggest one in our price range at lowes was 649. Well we got to Sears . They had a nice one for 629 that was 16 inches till width where the one at Lowes was 14 inch width. But he kept drooling over one that was huge and fancy, 18 inch. It was on sale for 749. Well, we went to eat and talked it over. I told him there isn't much he wants, to just get the one he wants. So we went back to Sears. He told the guy that he sure does like the 749 one. He told Dennis that a cumstomer had come in earlier and told him something. Seems if you buy the same tiller online, it is even 100 cheaper!!!! I thought that was awesome of the clerk to tell us that. So needless to say, we got it. THEN when he rang us up, he knocked another 75 off!!!!! Before it was on sale, this was a 899 tiller. So we got a $900 tiller for around 600!!! Deals like that never happen to us. But I wanted to till some. Dennis laughed after a bit, and gave in and let me try. I grabbed hold of that thing, and it took off almost dragging me behind. Dennis just laughed. So anyway, here are pics of it. We are proud of it.

Looks good. I'll fill it up and you two can just come up and give it a good workout to see if it is as good as it looks...Is that a cat wagon in the back ground ? looks a lot like mine...

I still think he should have got a smaller one. That will indeed give ya a good workout. That wagon has been used for all kinds of things. We love it. Yes, it has gone to the lake many times. Sides let down, so it can also double as a chair. It is the most handy thing around here. (Dennis says, "except for me" :D_) Great for yard work, kids to play with, fishing..........................

If its draggin ya and tossin ya around, ya aint doin sumpthin right. I had an Ariens rear tine tiller once, years ago. 8 or 9 horse I think. The tines spun forward. You could swing the handle to either side so you didn't havta walk in the same row as you were tilling. And you could run it with one hand. Seems like some of them Sears tillers spin backwards. and some you can change to either direction. If it spins forward, then you mite need to change the height of the bar on the rear of the tiller. Or meybe yer pushing down to hard? If you push down too hard the tines will catch and toss ya forward. Specially on unbroken soil. If your tilling new ground, you'll most likely havta make several passes. Digging alil deeper with each pass. It should come out all fluffy like really soft shag carpet. I now use an old front tine tiller and its like going from a Cadillac down to a donkey. PS. I would recommend ya read thru the reviews on the Sears website. I just did to see what ya got. There's lots of tips from folks that have one already. www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_07129932000P?blockNo=1&blockType=G1&prdNo=1&i_cntr=1332145272881

Thanks for doing that Hilly!!!! I will get him to read it, it will come in great. I think the reason it pulls me around is because I believe it is self propelled . We knew the first time would be rough as it had never been tilled. We are figuring a tilling it at least a couple more times before we plant it. We're gonna get some sand which will also help tender it up a little.
