Here is a pic of a 6-inch doll I just knitted for my middle granddaughter. I used the pattern I found at hollymarieknits.blogspot.com/2010/05/free-pattern-petite-people.html and altered it slightly (mostly additions). I am having a blast making them, but I think I need to use a smaller yarn for the faces. I am thinking of making some up to put back for Christmas stockings. Darn, can't get my pic to load on here right. I will try again later.

That is really cute. I don't knit, but I crochet. Have crocheted everything from dolls to doilies, to afghans, etc

Do you do that while you are waiting on a bite?

LOL, Isull, that is a great idea! I haven't gotten to go fishing in a long time, but am hoping to go soon and that would be a good occupier in between bites. I wonder how many fish I could string up on a knitting needle. I use to take romance novels with me and read while I waited on nibbles, but I got tired of them... they were all the same story over and over.
dsmith, have you ever done any of the filet crochet? I use to do that a lot, but haven't in many years. Do more knitting now. I would love to see one of your crocheted dolls!
