View out my front window at 2:30 pm on May 11th. It wagged its tail as I talked to it, then moseyed around grazing. Attachments:

I'm jealous. That would be awesome, except for my garden. All we have are rabbits and coyotes. Oh, and of course snakes

We live in town so don't see them unless we go looking up near the lake. They sure are pretty this time of year.

They have such a magnificent grace about them. I had to just drop everything and stop to watch him for awhile. At first, when I caught something out of the corner of my eye moving just outside the window, I thought a goat had gotten out. But I was relieved to see that it was one of the deer. I had a problem a couple of months back with spot lighters messing around in my yard at night (and shooting) to get them. Thought they were all gone and was relieved to see this one.
So far it doesn't seem that it bothered any of my garden .... yet ..... unless that is why my lettuce doesn't appear to have come up. But last year the darned little deers kept eating all the leaves off of my young mulberry trees. I ended up putting cages over my baby persimmon trees. They were desperate to find anything with moisture in it during the drought. The deer (and the snakes) are pretty thick out here. And the bear population is really beginning to grow... not something I ever thought I would have to worry about here. Mountain lions are beginning to multiply a bit, too. That's one creature we don't want out here at all!
