gourds

So, when we were in the feed store today, I spotted "snake" gourd seeds and "swan" gourd seeds. The gourds grow in those shapes, and you can dry them and paint them (you can look them up on line to see what they look like). So then I got to thinking ( ) that I can plant other gourds too. I love arts and craft things, and I can paint them. Anybody ever had any experience with gourds? Could use advice if ya got any. And YES, of course I did buy the snake and swan gourd seeds. ;D

Some folks around here still make Martin houses outta gourds. I've seen the snake ones at farm shows. Don't magine I'll try em. I'd hate ta havta shoot up the garden.
