Dennis' father had a heartattack today. They put a stint in. He is recovering in the hospital. Really scared us.

You'll be in my thoughts and prayers, keep us posted. We come from a family where heart attacks and Stints are regular occurances, but they are still scary no matter what.

Thanks to all. They did tell us that they had to use the paddles on him once. Really shook us up. Doc came in this morning. He has bad blockage in other areas of the heart. He said when this heals, they have to do something about that.
He has had luekimia. Thinks it is coming back. Doc was concerned cause his white blood count was 900. Don't know much about it, but it seemed to concern him.
His dad did look better today though.

He is doing pretty good today. He didn't know that they want to do more stints, and a dr. told him today. He was down about that. But we have had him up and walking around.
Hoping he will go home tomorrow. The next stints will come when he is a little better

I have eight stints. They could only do four to start with then were able to do the others in a couple of years. They really make you feel better.

Wow, 8 stints?  Did you have heart attacks, or could they tell by testing you. You must have been scared. I'm glad you said it makes you feel better. He has been extremly low on energy. Mother in law was gonna see if he could get b-12 shots. Docs told him he would have more energy now. He did go home today. So hopefully all will be ok. Thank ya'll so very much for all your concern. Love all of ya'll. |

you remember when I said heart attacks and stints were common occurances in our family? it weren't just my Grandpa's, dad's been through some as well. had a stroke also. modern cardiac medicine is pretty amazing.

Had first heart attack in 06 put in stints but could only go part way.
Had stroke in 08 was evaluated for another heart attack as the type stroke I had usually comes with a heart attack. The Dr that did the test thought my stints were plugging up. When they went in to check they were able to get lower as the improved circulation had opened the lower arteries.
