Here is the carp I caught today. Ben's was almost as big. They are fun to catch. But not good eating and not good for posting.

I used to eat them, Dad was chicken, but they aren't that bad. smoked carp is as good as smoked salmon, I'm not kidding.

You got me to try it once. You said, you knew how to clean it so it would be good. It was awful. I have met other people that said you could eat them if cleaned right that may be but if so they didn't know how to clean them either. The reason I asked Uncle Cotton was that if anyone in the family knew it would be him. I'll admit I have never tried smoked ;D

I have an old swimming pool full of those (large, assorted gold fish - some a foot long). Blasted coons keep getting into it and eating them. They sure seem to think they are good!
