Well, as I understand it, ddog took a big leap into shal;low water yesterday after being assured it wasn't shallow water, and broke bones in both feet. Had Surgery this morning and will be spending the next two days in the Horse pistol. After that 4 weeks in a wheelchair or otherwise off his feet. I guess we'll, know soon if we can get a wheelchair on the pontoon boat, Now I'll be working twice as hard when I take him and Dad Fishing Dave

I just got home from a visit with DDOG. They have him sedated but he did wake up and talk for about 20 min. The cleaning and closing has been moved to Thursday, If all goes well he will be allowed to go home Shortly thereafter. Depends on the time of day for surgery as to when he goes home. Should be tomorrow or Friday. He seemed pleasant while awake and said their pain control was good but that is what makes him so sleepy. They are going to measure him for leg extensions on his wheel chair today and a hospital bed is waiting for him at home. I passed on your good wishes and he said to thank you and wishes you all good luck fishing.

DR was happy with progress. Has boots now but still no weight bearing. Seams to perk up when Grandma or Aunt Jean come around. He is fourteen so his mom doesn't know anything. It is funny how parents smarten up so fast when we grow up.
