lsull you said you liked recipes for jelly and deserts you even posted some so I had my cousin {1st once removed) send you one. The little girl Doris is my mother. The John Sharits Sr is my Great grandfather that was the Chief of Police. I told you the story about the man he saved when he was a patrolman during the 1913 flood. His daughter Mary is my grandmother. As my grand mother was the oldest my Mom grew up with her uncles and aunts I did not intend it to be a mystery. You weren't supposed to get it until tomorrow.

Thank you so very very much. I suspected it was you, but since it came from Oregon, I didn't know. It will be put to great use and very much enjoyed. Like I say, I am taking it with me today to look over the recipes I will be trying out. Thank you again

You are welcome. My cousin Wanita put them together and had them published. Yes that is the correct way to spell her name. They are recipes the old family passed out at the reunions. She lives in Oregon near the Rangers girls volley ball team. :

That sounds like an absolutely WONDERFUL cookbook!!!
Dale, I bet you would love to see the one I came across at the flea market a couple of weeks ago. It is ALL recipes from the first 13 colonies! I can't wait to read through it and try some of them out.

Love love cookbooks. Especially home, family, or old recipes. If you try out any good ones, you'll have to post them here for us.
