Jack, our son in law is in surgery having a gall stone removed. I am a bit irriated at the hospital. He went to the er yesterday morning in severe pain. After a bit, they told him it was his acid reflux acting up and maybe an ulcer, he should schedule a scope with his doc. Gave him some meds and sent him home. He kept getting worse, once the pain med that the hospital gave him wore off. So he went back. They said his white blood cell count was high, and did tests. Gall stone. Now I just have a problem with them sending him home yesterday morning, and he is in surgery this morning And on top of that, while we were standing there yesterday morning: We saw an old couple. The man was in a wheel chair with an oxygen mask on. Two nurses walked up and got upset and asked the nurse there why he had an oxygen mask on. She felt like he "needed it". They said that was the worse thing she could have done and they are yanking the mask off him. Now you would think the nurse at the front desk of er should know what she is doing.

Good to hear he is doing better. Sorry he had to have them removed. Better if one can pass them.

Well, they did end up taking the gallbladder too. Seems it was so bad, the bile had backed up and was being absorbed (either in the pancreas or gallbladder, not sure which_). But he is doing much better. Took the kids up to see him and they are much better now that they have seen he is gonna be ok

Glad to hear that all turned out well. The medical profession should be better regulated than what they are. It is about the money and not about caring about the patient. Again I'm glad that it turned out well for him.
