I hear coyotes howling around here at night. I hate knowing they are hanging around. Dennis talked with the people down the road the other day. She said they came after her dogs. They are pitbulls ::)She chased them off, then they went on and went after another ladies dogs. The pits are fenced. The other ladies are little dogs. She ties them in the front yard when they need to do their number. She also came running out and chased them off. When we aren't home or it is night time, my little ones will have to be watched close. We have a fence which will slow them down. But if they are hungry enough. I'm glad they burned down the field, they can't hide as easily.

I worry about Otis when he go out after dark. Haven't heard any around here for several months now. They may have moved on.. I really worry more about the pair of bald eagles that nest on the creek back behind the house.

Funny story there. Of course we don't have bald eagles here. But one day I swear I saw one out here on a phone pole. By the time I got a camera and Dennis to look, it was gone. Thought I was crazy. But there have been reports of other people seeing one since.

There have been reports of sightings of them as far down in the Big Ben area. Could be that you did see one. They are making a big come back in the wild.
