As ya'll know, we have three pugs. Our oldest (10 years old) has been growling at the others, especially the newest one (we've had about a year). I mean downright mean. They have actually gotten into some physical fights we had to separate. Molly can't even walk into the room sometimes without Munchkin growling. I used to give them dog bones, can't do that anymore because Munchkin will "guard" hers and growl. If she has any kind of food, she will continually grow even if the other two are in the chairs and not even paying attention to her. I HATE this. WE love them all, and don't know what to do. Today, she was growling in Molly's face, and I'd swat her nose, and she would just keep on growling. I have thought about keeping a spray bottle around and squirting her. Poor ole' Molly , all she wants to do is play, and she is scared now. Any advice.?

Munchkin is too old to jump up on the furniture anymore, so they are safe there. And the thing about Hyde: She loves a fight. She will not start it, but if a fight does begin, she is in the middle of it. She is that way when she is outside. Happy go lucky. But if another dog happens to roam by, she is on it. When Dennis is on the riding lawn mower or using the tiller, she is trying to fight with it. Luckily, she is in the fence where she can't get to the machines.

I would have a vet check her out. Aggression is often a response to pain.

I think tha Isull may have something there. Pugs are not aggressive dogs at all unless they are injured or hurting somewhere.

The 2 youngest pugs are full breed. But the older is half chihuahua. Maybe that side of her is coming out. Now Hyde does have a fighting attiutude even though she is full blood. She has always been that way. If we have company that she doesn't know, she is fine while they are here. But when they go to leave, she tries to bite them. We have learned this, so we just pick her up when they leave so she doesn't bite them. Don't get why she does that. Now Molly, is just happy go lucky. She is just happy and fine with whatever is going on . ;D
