We might get a light freeze tomorrow night. If so, it will set a record as the latest freeze in the year here. We have been itching to plant the rest of the garden, and we just keep holding off. Glad we did now. But they say this should be the last one, so hopefully we can plant the rest of it this weekend. We have been having a lot of really hot days followed by really cold days. Of course, that is Texas. Last week, I went to Walmart and the car was showing exactly 100 degrees. Wasn't in there very long. When I came out, it was down right cool!!! By the time I got home, the temp had dropped to 71 degrees. And continued dropping all night. And this has to be the windest year!!! 30-40 mph winds with higher gusts has become the norm around here. But as long as it isn't icing and snowing anymore, I can't complain. Spent the day in the yard all day yesterday piddling around. Upper 90's, had to come sit in front of the fan a couple times. Wanted to do more tomorrow. But with a high of 60 and 30-40 mph winds, I don't want to deal with that wind chill.

I know that !! I know that!!! It went from Summer into Winter again. ;D Been raining here for the past 5 days. Ended up needing to cut wet grass yesterday. Measured it and found it was almost 10 inches high since last mowing 11 days ago.

We had a freeze warning May 1. I watered the garden down, and everythng survived. :)We really didn't want to start over. But May 1 was in the 40's with a high wind. It did set some records. It was crazy cold. Expecting severe storms today. Dreading that. It's supposed to hit this afternoon. We have a carport to protect our vehicles. But problem is, that I am only working this afternoon. So we will have both of them exposed at the school.
