Dennis and I had a good day fishing today. We went to Ft. Phantom instead of Kirby. Got us some minnows because we wanted to catch some big Hybrids like that guy did last week. Well, we caught some hybrids , but every one of them was on chicken liver. 
We both had one pole out with minnows and one with livers. Livers was the big hit today. 
And then, a funny story. I have mentioned a guy we met at Kirby that we see often there and chat with him. I posted a picture of him about a year ago with a huge blue. So we are there about 30 minutes and a pickup pulls up to fish on down the bank. We realized it was our buddy!! Now what was the odds of us seeing him at a different lake at the same fishing hole we were at. That was so weird. Him and Dennis spent the day trying to outdo each other. One would catch something, and they would whistle or yell at the other. They did have fun
Caught a good variety. Dennis: blue cats, hybrids, a gar and a turtle. Me: blue cats, channel cats, polly, and hybrids
But I am very proud of the HUGE Hybrid I caught. He was awesome!! Since I lost the big one last week, Dennis came down to help me get him in. Between us, we did get him in. It was fun. But the bad thing, our friend had left by that point.

Have the fever very bad. Have plans already to go FISHING the end of this month. Have 9 days off and will spend it fishing... I HOPE!!! Glad that you guys are getting to go fishing.. Around here it is mostly rain and cold weather..
