His father has been really ill for awhile. Weighs around 100 lbs. They found a mass in his lung that has maybe spread. They did the biopsy today, we will know more Friday. He has always had a problem swallowing. Well, they found that a lot of what he is swallowing is going to his lungs. And he has pnumonia. They have put a feeding tube through his nose.

Good news today. Dr. came in and said that there was no sign of cancer. There was a lot of infection in what was removed. We bought in an infection specialist, lung Dr. and gastro Dr. Lung Dr. will scope dad out in the morning to see what he can find. Infection Dr. will upgrade his antibiotics while the gastro doc was planning on putting in a stomach feed tube. He was told not at this time. We are hoping that all will come out fine and dad will regain his strength and get to go home soon. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

Went in for a 3rd biopsy today, but was told that we were not going to do it. The mass had shrunk down 3 cm over the last week. We will go ahead and have a feeding tube installed into his stomach. Hopefully we will be going home soon.

Update: His father is in surgery right now. They are gonna put a feeding tube in his stomach. The mass on his lungs they thought was cancer was a serious infection. It has gotten smaller since he came in hospital a week ago. He will be in this room at least a week until infection totally cures up. Then he will go to rehab floor for a few weeks. So looks like we will be here awhile. But he MAY never get to eat again as things go to his lungs instead of stomach. They will do a swallowing test in a few weeks to see.

Hope and praying for him each day....With my COPD I know all about the lung infections. When the immune system is weak it doesn't take much to get most any kind of infection in the lungs...Please keep us in the know with him..

Doing better. Will be in hospital a few weeks getting therapy. His mom is really worrying us. She is extremly forgetful, doesn't eat, very scatter minded. We finally got a cat scan of her head. No alzheimers. They started her on dimensia pills
