If you've ever fileted catfish you know that they do not die easily, and if they aren't dead when you clean them they will flop and make a mess (usually on your shirt). Not to mention that some of us really don't gain any enjoyment out of skinning or fileting a live animal. I for one would just as soon have the fish numb, dead and wiggle free when I go to work. We learned a trick from cajun guide that is amazingly easy and effective. You need a knife and a throttle cable off of a lawn mower, a choke cable or some similar spring steel cable. The rest is simple, just watch the video for details.
