Dennis has a sweet little girl in his 5th grade class who's mom had a brain anurism. They tried to save her, but will be taking her off life support today. There is also a sweet first grader boy. So so sad to loose their mom suddenly at Christmas time. We went up to see the family. Seems the little girl had been telling them that she wanted to see Mr. Smith. Dennis was so touched by that.
Dennis' uncle's funeral is tomorrow. Looks like we will be going to this little girl's mom's funeral whenever it is. Such a sad Christmas here this year. We might be going to spend Christmas with his aunt as we don't want her to be alone.
Our poor kids and grandkids keep being pushed back, but they understand. We had planned to do Christmas tomorrow, but with the funeral, that won't happen. And we may have to drive his aunt back to Lubbock after. We just told the kiddos we would bring by their gifts today, and we will have a nice dinner after everything settles down sometimes after Christmas. It is just so crazy this year.
