Well, I have been really sick, reminded me of 1 1/2 years ago when I had the pneumonia. Dennis finally dragged me in to the clinic. I tested positive for the flu. Doc said she didn't even want to be in the same room with me as I was so contagious. She said Dennis will more then likely catch it. I am past the fever stage, so am on the mend, even though you could have fooled me. She said I will be really weak for a week or longer. Whoo hoo Don't have time for all of this. So, 1 1/2 years ago, had the pneumonia, this year, the flu. Ya think it might be time to consider the shots?

I have gotten the shots every year for the past 50 years. A couple of years I still got sick but it was mild compaired to those around me. The phone company would pay for them and so did the VA so I did not until I retired. When I was at the phone co I had a man that had gotten through childhood without any illnesses. His wife was a school bus driver and would carry home whatever was going around.and he would get it. When the Swine Flu was going around about 30 years ago I encouraged him to get a shot saying that if anyone got it it would be him. He looked real degected and asked, if I was calling him a hog. I assured him that I was thinking of him catching everything and had no bad thoughts toward him.

I don;t usually get a shot, but I seem to be pretty naturally resistant to the flu also. I should start getting them, the company will pay for them. dave

The shot won't keep you from getting it. It is just a much milder form. At the youth that you are, you should get one every year...
