We drove out to Kirby today. Several areas had iced over. I have never seen anything like that here. Dennis said he has. Here are a couple pictures of the creek feeding into it. There is a Coke bottle (not pepsi lol) setting on the top of the ice. And that is after it had warmed up to 38, and things were starting to thaw.

It is iced over. You say that it feeds into Kirby. How deep is it?

It is normally only about 8 foot deep through the creek. But with it being so dry, I'll bet it is only about 4 to 5 foot deep

(This is my 3rd attempt to try to post a reply) Or better put: I have been in it when it was well over my head. The last time I was in it(been awhile), it was about shoulder deep. I don't even tell me that I should have tried it out with it iced over, I know ya'll well lol

Am fed up with the snow, ice, snow, ice, and below 0 temps. 31 out now but calling for another 2 to 4 inches of the snow. Thinking bout shoveling it all up and dumping it in Dave's backyard.

Was snowing again last night when I left for work..Had about 2 inches of new white stuff on the drive and lane. No problem getting to the lane, but from there to the hiway was something else. It is 11 miles from home to work and nothing had been done to the road yet. Could only drive about 20 mph all the way. getting home it was a little better but still had to take almost 30 minutes to drive the 11 miles home. Turn off the road onto the lane and get hung up with about another 7 or 8 inches of the white stuff which drifted to 12 to 14 inch of snow drift. With the d@#m stuff I have to back into the drive to the house. Nope!! Got hung up 3 times in the driveway just to get to the house. Two drifts across the drive were bumper high. Course there was the ice under the new snow from 2 days ago and could not see where the drive was supposed to be.. Dave, I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE ANYMORE OF THIS STUFF!!!

t left big Spring texas thursday. Have a horrible case of sun poisoning on my right arm, and my laundry bag smells like a locker room from all the sweat. So glad to be heading back to Ohio where the weather is better. You should get the boat ready MC, it's gonna be above freezing all week with three days predicted to rain. I figure paint creek will be a mile wide and ten foot deep on average. you'll have to swim of float to the house from the road. I have to go to South carolina this week. You can probably fish flood eddies off your front porch by Friday. Dave
